Karen Yates, President of Coleraine Borough Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated; “I can confirm the Chamber has been approached by a number of businesses in the Borough pledging support and sponsorship to save the NI International Airshow. We are working closely with Coleraine Borough Council Officers to ascertain if it is possible.

“The airshow may change in either format or length but we will endeavour to have the event back to Portrush in September. I would ask any business that wishes to pledge financial assistance to contact the Chamber Office, telephone 7034 3111.”

Mayor of Coleraine, Cllr Sandy Gilkinson, added; “Coleraine Borough Council welcomes the commitment of local businesses, and will support the Chamber with their efforts to save this popular event. We acknowledge it is a difficult time for them and we appreciate that these events are important to their summer trading.”
